( it's said softly. there is a wistfulness to it that settles into the lee of an otherwise steady voice. but perhaps that's how it should be. perhaps leaving behind a memory can be enough.

she leans back against him without quite thinking about it. they have been... cautious, around one another, but not avoidant. he smells like she remembers, and somehow that is a comfort of its own. )
It is... ( she searches for a word. then: ) peaceful. I also like it. Though I feel badly for these poor little creatures being forced to fight.
( the little wooskull, perhaps feeling jealous, goes out of its way to try and wriggle in between them. she shushes it with a soft pat to its head. )
